Equine Assisted Therapy Australia Conference

The conference develops participants’ capacity to apply ethical, trauma-informed, relational and evidence-informed principles within equine-assisted mental health practice. Learning outcomes include strengthening clinical reasoning, supporting client safety, practising within professional scope, promoting equine agency and welfare, and adapting practice for diverse populations. Topics include trauma and nervous-system regulation, attachment and relational safety, neuroaffirming and culturally responsive practice, complex trauma, practitioner integrity, equine welfare, First Nations perspectives, and working with refugees, veterans, first responders, people with disability and victim-survivors. Emerging approaches include somatic practice, parts work, bilateral stimulation, nature-based interventions and somatic riding. Venue: Selah Valley Estate, Tweed Valley, Northern NSW
